Abalone Shells Used for trading in many indigenous cultures, evidence shows how black, red, & green Abalone shells were a focal point of trade in the ancient American southwest. Abalone shells are associated with strengthening love within relationships & fostering interpersonal harmony, releasing negative feelings & easing stressful situations. Abalone is also linked with Cancer, Scorpio, & Pisces zodiac signs, which are connected to emotions, intuition, & the subconscious mind.

Amethyst  Amethyst's name is derived from "amethystos," which means "not drunk" in Ancient Greek, because it was thought that amethysts would help a person maintain sharp wits in both business & battle. Commonly associated with royalty because of its purple coloring, Amethyst has been used for centuries to symbolize deep love, happiness, humility, sincerity, & wealth. It is associated with the 7th Chakra, also known as the Crown Chakra, located at the top of the head, which represents the energy & spiritual center of the body. Amethyst is also connected to the zodiac signs of Capricorn, Pisces, Aquarius, & Virgo, & it is considered the birthstone for February.

Aventurine Aventurine was used 2.5 million years ago in Ethiopia to make tools, & the ancient Etruscan civilization in Italy associated it with Thalna, the goddess of childbirth. In China, Aventurine was the sacred stone of Guanyin Pusa, the goddess of compassion & unconditional love. The Tibetans used Aventurine to carve the eyes of statues, which might be why some also believed that wearing the stone improved myopia, which is the condition that causes far-away objects to appear blurry. Aventurine is associated with the 4th Chakra, also known as the Heart Chakra, & is believed to encourage emotional healing & self-love, bringing harmony & balance to the heart. Its gentle energy is thought to soothe emotional wounds, nurture action & leadership, & provide an opportunity to release self-doubts. Primarily connected to Taurus, Virgo, & Libra, Aventurine is also linked to Aries, Gemini, Cancer, & Leo.

Blue Lapis Lapis Lazuli, also known as Blue Lapis, has been historically associated with royalty, strength & courage, wisdom & intellect, & friendship & truth. From antiquity, Blue Lapis has been worn in the belief that it will ward off evil. Blue Lapis is also believed to represent the 6th Chakra, or Third Eye Chakra, where it is thought to bring harmony, love, & protection to relationships. In some parts of the world, Blue Lapis is one of the February birthstones, & it is also connected to the zodiac sign of Aquarius.

Carnelian Bronze Age artifacts using Carnelian found on the Greek island of Crete have been dated as far back as 1800 BCE. Throughout history, including during the Roman Empire, Carnelian has been associated with courage, vitality, & motivation. Known as the 'Stone of Motivation,' Carnelian is believed to inspire action, helping people overcome hesitation & procrastination. With its deep orange color, Carnelian is associated with the 2nd Chakra, or Sacral Chakra, which regulates creativity & sexuality. Carnelian is widely regarded as the birthstone for the zodiac sign of Virgo.

Coconut Shells The coconut tree is often referred to as the “tree of heaven” due to its height & the beautiful environments in which it grows. Coconut palms have been cultivated for more than 3,000 years. The hard outer shell of the coconut is seen as a representation of ego. Breaking the coconut is symbolic of breaking one's ego, & letting go of pride & arrogance.

Blue Calcite The Ancient Egyptians viewed Blue Calcite as a protective stone, & used it to make small figurines, amulets, & statuettes. Blue Calcite is associated with the Throat Chakra (5th Chakra), which is located at the base of the throat & believed to be responsible for communication & expression. It is also connected to the 6th Chakra, or Third Eye Chakra, an energy center located in the middle of the forehead. Thus Blue Calcite is also associated with intuition, insight, & spiritual connection. Ideal to help open & balance energy that aids in communication, Blue Calcite is often connected to the zodiac signs of Cancer & Pisces to enhance communication, promote emotional healing, & foster spiritual wisdom.

Red Jasper Red Jasper was used in Ancient Egypt to protect against evil spirits, so it is not uncommon to discover amulets made of Red Jasper in ancient tombs. Red Jasper was also connected to the sun god, vitality, & the blood of the female god Isis, who was known to heal the sick & protect women & children. Her cult rose to prominence during the Roman period, & the widespread worship of Isis expanded throughout Egypt & beyond, with many temples dedicated to her in locations all over the world. The Medieval Ages saw Red Jasper used as a source of courage, especially in Germanic legends. Red Jasper is associated with the 1st Chakra, or Root Chakra, which is believed to be connected to security & stability. Red Jasper is often associated with Aries due to its empowering & courageous energy, which resonates with Aries' fiery, independent nature. Its grounding & balancing properties help Scorpio, Cancer, Virgo, & Capricorn navigate their intense emotions & summon inner strength, especially during stressful times or emotional turmoil. Red Jasper is a common birthstone for February.

Tiger's Eye Tiger's Eye was carved into amulets & talismans worn by ancient Roman soldiers to help them remain calm & focused. Ancient Egyptians considered it a type of 'all-seeing eye' that they in turn used for the eyes in statues. Tiger's Eye is associated with the 3rd Chakra, or Solar Plexus Chakra, which is believed to help build a stronger sense of self & unlock inner wisdom & personal empowerment. Tiger's Eye is the birthstone for the Gemini zodiac sign, thought to help adaptability, wit, & decision-making.
