Pink Coral Throughout history, Pink Coral has signified feminine fertility. Pink Coral represents love & harmony, & much like Red Coral, it is rare, only found in areas around the Mediterranean & the Sea of Japan. Most often linked to the Heart Chakra (4th Chakra), Pink Coral is believed to be connected to emotions, love, compassion, & emotional healing. It is also associated with the following zodiac signs: Aries (enhances confidence, strength, & leadership qualities), Scorpio (improves determination, focus, & emotional stability), Pisces (promotes emotional balance & spiritual growth), Sagittarius (enhances creativity & enthusiasm), Leo (brings energy, success, & protection from negative forces), & Capricorn (boosts vitality & helps overcome challenges).

Purple Spiny Oyster The earliest known Spiny Oyster, or “Spondylus,” shell artifacts are from Northern Peru & are over 6,000 years old, dating from 4200–2500 BCE. The name  is derived from the Greek word "spondylos," meaning spine. Associated with water shrines in the Wari & Inca empires, Spiny Oyster Shells were used in rituals & ceremonies, & were considered a gift from the gods. More valuable than gold & silver in ancient South American cultures, Spiny Oyster Shells were believed to bring rain & bountiful harvests, which is probably why the Incas placed them in their temples, & they were even used as a form of currency. They were truly seen as crucial to agricultural fertility in the ancient Andes. Spiny Oyster Shells have been applied in pottery, inlay work, jewelry, & many other traditional art forms. Also valued for centuries in indigenous cultures of the Americas, these spiky mollusks (a close relative to scallops) are commonly used in Navajo jewelry & range in color from red & pink to orange & purple. Most often found in the warm waters of the Sea of Cortez & along the coasts of Baja California, the shell's color varies with the depth of the waters it inhabits, transitioning from bright orange near the surface to deeper shades of red & purple in the abyss. Purple Spiny Oyster shell primarily connects with the Crown Chakra, or 7th Chakra, due to its deep purple color, symbolizing spiritual connection, divine guidance, enlightenment, & higher consciousness. Purple Spiny Oyster Shells are associated with the zodiac signs Scorpio, Cancer, & Libra, & are believed to offer protection, strength, & emotional healing.

Malachite A type of copper ore, Malachite was used in ancient Egypt & Rome for pigments in paint & makeup. Supposedly Cleopatra used Malachite in her eye makeup, & it is also connected to the 4th & 5th Chakras, or Heart & Throat Chakras, where it is believed to nurture energetic balance. Malachite is known as the "stone of transformation," because it is said to reveal & heal emotional pain by absorbing the pain into itself, which could make it especially helpful in bringing harmony during times of change & providing insight needed for personal growth. Malachite is linked with the zodiac sign of Capricorn.

Red Coral Greek mythology explores the origin of Red Coral in the tale of Perseus. Perseus temporarily placed Medusa's head on a riverbank, where he witnessed her blood turn the seaweed into Red Coral. As a result, the Greek word for coral is 'Gorgeia,' since Medusa was one of the three Gorgons. The Romans hung pieces of coral around the necks of their children to shield them from illness & danger. Worn by a woman, coral was a charm against sterility. Linked to the Root Chakra (1st Chakra), Red Coral is believed to be connected to physical survival, grounding, & stability. Red Coral signifies passion & courage, & it is linked to Mars, the planet believed to rule both the Aries & Scorpio zodiac signs.
