Coming from Brazil, this Quartz was formed during the Proterozoic Eon, the most recent division of the Precambrian, which marks the beginning of Earth as we know it. The Proterozoic is also the longest geologic eon, beginning 2.5 billion years ago & ending 541 million years ago. It accounts for a little less than 4/9ths of geologic time.
